Puppy Classes

If you have a new puppy then you will need to think about puppy classes. It is very important to socialise your puppy to everything. We can advice you the best way to get your new puppy use to everything so you have a happy puppy that is confidant. This training lead is specially designed for training.

Wild Bird food

As most of us know at this time of year our bird friends need a little extra help finding food. Doggy b good is now selling a range of wild bird food like this 10 x 500ml tub of dried insects. We also do tubs of dried Mealworms, wild berries, Nuts, wild fruit.

We also do 12 x fat feast suet blocks with sunflower, berry, breakfast, fruity,

insect, mealworm and also one for Squirrels.

Brushing Your Dog’s Teeth

Dog are just like humans when it comes to needing their teeth cleaned. A dogs teeth should been clean a least twice a week. So why should you brush your dogs teeth? Well two common problems dogs have with poor dental hygiene are loose and abscess teeth. You need to check if your dog has bad breath. Dogs with bad breath properly suffering from periodontal disease which is a build up of plaque. Dogs can get bacteria infection, if a build up of plaque is untreated. This may not seem to worrying but bacteria infection can enter the bloodstream and spread to your dog’s kidney, liver, heart and most shocking the brain. If your dog has very bad breath, there is a problem with his teeth and you should get it check by your vet. But by doing a few things we hope to avoid it getting that far.

Feeding your dog dried food and giving him large bones to chew on is one way to help keep his teeth healthier. Please remember not to leave your dog alone with any bones. It is still a good idea to clean your dog’s teeth, and here are edible toothpaste just for dogs at the pet store and many flavours available. But the best one Petosan poultry flavoured toothpaste, it is specially formulated for pets to help remove plaque and prevent the build-up of tartar. You can punches this from doggy b good. Dog Saves Boy From Cougar

A 11 year old by from Boston Bar, B.C golden retriever saved his life from a charging cougar. Austin says he would not be alive if his dog had not protected him from the courgar. Austin was gathering firewood in his backyard at 5 p.m. Saturday. His dog Angel started acting oddly. She started following him to and from the woodshed, it was like she was making sure I was ok. Suddenly Angel ran toward me and jumped over a lawn mower right in front of a charging cougar. I had to run and get help otherwise Angel wouldn’t have any hope fighting the cougar. His mother called 911, who arrived on scene minutes later. The cougar was found under the back porch of the house, biting on Angel’s neck. An officer shot the cougar killing it instantly. Austin said I am so lucky that Angel was there to protect me. If it was not for her I wouldn’t be here. She is my best friend and my guardian angel, just like her name. Angel suffered puncture wounds on her head, neck and one of her legs.
