Brushing Your Dog’s Teeth

Dog are just like humans when it comes to needing their teeth cleaned. A dogs teeth should been clean a least twice a week. So why should you brush your dogs teeth? Well two common problems dogs have with poor dental hygiene are loose and abscess teeth. You need to check if your dog has bad breath. Dogs with bad breath properly suffering from periodontal disease which is a build up of plaque. Dogs can get bacteria infection, if a build up of plaque is untreated. This may not seem to worrying but bacteria infection can enter the bloodstream and spread to your dog’s kidney, liver, heart and most shocking the brain. If your dog has very bad breath, there is a problem with his teeth and you should get it check by your vet. But by doing a few things we hope to avoid it getting that far.

Feeding your dog dried food and giving him large bones to chew on is one way to help keep his teeth healthier. Please remember not to leave your dog alone with any bones.
