Puppy Dies at Grooming Parlour

A family is distraught after leaving their Shih tzu puppy (like the one in the pic) at a grooming parlour in Pet's at Home. Travis Melton age 15 left the dog at the parlour to be groomed but when returning to pick her up 90 minutes later, was told his pet had died.

Daisy had died in unbearable heat while in a drying cage after having her fur cut, washed and then dried. The boy tried to phone his parents to break the sad news, but he was to upset to speak, so the manager of the store in Sheffeld, South Yorkshire, had to break the news that Daisy had died in an accident.

Sarah the mother, said a member of the staff was about to go on their lunch break had put Daisy in a drying cage and asked two other colleagues to keep an eye on her. But sadly no one did anything and she was literally "cooked"

She was in a shocking state when Sarah saw her body, she must have gone through hell and a lot of pain. If they was keeping an eye on her, they would have heard her whimpering. Daisy died after choking on her own vomit, she had now been cremated. The two staff at Pets at Home have been suspended and an investigation has been launched.
