Puppy falls down a 200ft quarry fall

A little seven-month-old cocker spaniel call Dotty fell more than 200ft over a cliff into a flooded quarry. She was chasing a bird near her home in Chepstow, Monmouthshire and tumbled over the cliff edge. Dotty bounced three times of the cliff before hitting the cold icy water.

A sub-aqua team she Dotty splash land and helped her, one of the team lifted Dotty to safety and then gave her oxygen from their tanks. Her own Keli Beamon climbed down to the quarry expecting to find dead. But was sperprised when Dotty leapt into her arms unscathed. I can’t believe it, it’s a miracle she survived the fall alone.

Terry Birtles the diving group leader said “she is one lucky dog, how she survied a fall like that. We got her out of the water, she was in shock but there was no physical damage. We gave her some oxygen and wrapped her in a blanket to keep her warm. We are so amazed she made such a quick recovery.
