Resadance of Berkshire is hanging their dog’s poo from lampposts after special bins were removed. Dog walkers have been angered by a decision by the Wokingham Borought Council to remove the dog poo bins and replace them with 245 general litter bins. The council have said dog owners can now bag up dog waste and dispose of it in the litter bins. Jane Drake from Woodley, said “The council have removed the dog poo bins due to expenditure. Dog owers are expected to put their dog waste in bins that are oversilling, we have to constantly ring the council asking them to come and empty the bins. Mrs Drake said, “This is an environmental issue, to have dog poo left smelling in litter bins, some near where children play will only encourage flies. According to the Department of Environment of food and rural affairs (Defra) dog poo can be placed in normal litter bins without posing a health hazard.
