Using Kong's to stimulate your dog

As we all know our dogs can get bored when left alone, and this is when they can get destructive. There are a few things that we can do to stimulate them, and that is toy stuffing/kongs. Kong are specially made materials that are very difficult for your dog to tear apart so very safe, unlike raw bones or cook bones. If you give your dog chicken bones this can course problems as the bones can split.

There are different variety of shapes and sizes of kongs, and you can stuff them with various food items. You will learn what works and what doesn't, what makes it easy for your dog to extract. There are three levels of kong stuffing. It is necessary to teach your dog how to extract the food from the kong so it must be very easy to start. First levels is Novice

What ever food you have for your dog, dried or tin can be use. If you use dried you can add water to soften it. First you put some we food at the bottom of the kong, then some dry food in the middle with some tasty treats, then finish with we food. By doing this it will make it reasonably easy for your dog to extract the food. Continue to do this until he has mastered this level. Above is an exarmple of how you can stuff a kong.
If you have any questions/comments I will be glad to hear from you.
