Algal Badger Baiting

Police and animal cruelty officers across the Scotland-England border have seized two terrier dogs in a raid connected with alleged badger baiting. It was a joint operation which too place in the Workington area of Cumbria. Two dogs were seized as well as a number of computers and DVDs as a result of a search. To men was arrested at the weekend following the disturbance of a badger set and the killing of a badger in the Lockerbie area. Both officers from Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary and Cumbria Police as well as SPCA and RSPCA were part of the operation on Thursday morning.
