Toddler attacked by Akita dog

A three-year-old girl has suffered facial injuries when she was mauled by a Japanese Akita dog in Shipley. A Police spokesman said the young girl was taken to Bradford Royal hospital after the attack at about 5.30 on Wednesday. A neighbour Claire Kendal, who helped rescue the girl, said my six-year-old daughter saw the attack and is very upset. The dog has been destroyed. Police said the incident was being investigated.
