Get Tough on Dog Fighters, NOT Dogs!

Dog fighting is on the increase and the police and RSPCA will tackle it. Well they need to do something and soon. Dog lovers like me get very angry about this cruel sport that these bloods thirsty people find amusing, these people are scum and jail would be a holiday to them. Maybe these people should find out what its like to have a dog they have trained bite and rip them apart, let them feel the pain that these dogs feel when they are fighting. Some people will say that’s a bit extreme, WELL WAKE UP PEOPLE, I AM ANGRY.

When I read article after article about dog fighting and read the striped sentencing that dog fighters get, like Mr Manawar Hussain, 37, from Bevington Road, Aston was found guilty of two charges of possessing a dangerous dog and two charges of training an animal in connection with fighting. Hussain was sentenced to 18 days in prison, and banned from keeping animals for life. The district judge Shamin Qureshi said: "If you want to go out and torture innocent animals then you can expect to go to prison.” Dog fighting is so prevalent in Birmingham I have to make an example of you. THIS SENTENCE IS A JOKE, even if he dose 18 days, he will find a way of getting dogs again. It doesn’t stop his wife, mother, brother, lodger having a dog and certainly doesn’t stop him from abusing another dog again. Where is the lengthy prison time, the hefty fine?

But the sad part is what happens to the dogs? Well the dogs are always destroyed, after suffering like hell they are destroyed. I do understand that dogs that fight would never be able to have a normal life with families, but what about trying to re-train them as working dogs, give them a chance, isn’t that what we as humans are told to give each other. We pay in our taxes to rehabilitate humans into society, why on dogs.
