Tribute To Endal the Wonder dog

Endal a 13 year old Golden Labrador, who lived in Clanfireld, Hampshire, suffered two fits and it was decided to put him to rest on Friday with his owner by his side. Allen Parton a Gulf War veteran said “Endal helped him recover from a head injury that he received in the first Gulf War. Mr Parton said “Endal was a very special guy; he could perform a number of vital duties for me.

Mr Parton said “Since my injury I have been confined to a wheelchair and I have mood swings that upset and sometimes frightened my family, and I also suffer with memory lose. I believe the arrival of Endal change my life and lead me to renew my vows with my wife after a troubled spell. Endal is truly a wonder dog and I regard him as saving my life.

Endal was also awarded the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) Victoria Cross for saving his owner after a car accident. The dog covered Mr Parton with a blanket and brought him his mobile phone.

"I will miss Endal but I really want to celebrate his life."
